REGINA - Rick Mantey, Chair of the Board of Directors, today announced the appointment of Ms. Pat Youzwa as Interim CEO of the Conexus Arts Centre effective April 7, 2014.
"The Board is very pleased that Ms. Youzwa has agreed to provide her knowledge in strategic planning, corporate governance and finance and will assist the Board, and our team, in placing the Centre on the proper self-sustaining course for the future. She also has a deep appreciation for the role the Centre plays within the arts community and the community-at-large.
Ms. Youzwa is a former President and CEO of SaskPower, stepping down in 2010 after serving five and a half years. In addition to overseeing and managing the operations of the Centre, Ms. Youzwa will assist the Board in establishing strategic objectives for the future of the Centre, manage the recruitment of a new CEO and provide recommendations for any legislative or governance changes, which should be advanced for the consideration of government.
Mr. Mantey also took the opportunity to acknowledge the contributions made by outgoing CEO Jim McCrum during his tenure at the Centre and wished him well in his future endeavors.
