It all “Started With A Song” ten years ago, and ever since, Brett Kissel has had an extraordinary rise to superstardom in the Canadian country music scene. With three Platinum and ten Gold singles, two Gold-certified albums, and sixteen Top-10 radio hits, he has become one of the country’s most celebrated artists. Having toured with legends such as Garth Brooks and Brad Paisley, and completing record breaking runs across the country, Kissel has firmly planted himself as one of Canada’s most beloved entertainers. He has also become well known for his genre-defying collaborations, which have led to some iconic duets featuring Grammy winners Charley Pride, Dave Mustaine, Nelly, and iconic R&B group, 98 Degrees.
At the top of 2023, Kissel embarked his most ambitious endeavour yet with The Compass Project - a four-part album experience that showcases various themes, and Kissel’s versatility as a musician and songwriter. The project's first album South Album showcases Kissel's signature style of commercial country hits, including the lead track "Never Have I Ever" which has amassed over seven million global streams and continues to climb the charts at Canadian country radio. This spring, he released East Album, a collection of stripped down, heartfelt, acoustic songs that was inspired by Kissel's love of Canada's east coast, and features a new level of emotional depth in his songwriting. Fans can anticipated the compass to swing towards the West Album later this summer, while Kissel's North Album, filled with live recordings of Kissel performing his greatest hits across Canada, will be available come fall.
